The BoldInk Story: Created by Us, Made for You

Hey there, beauty lovers. We’re Emily and Sophie, two best friends who turned a shared frustration into a brand that’s now all about you.

Three years ago, in 2021, we were sitting in our tiny London flat, drowning in makeup products that just didn’t make the cut. Sophie, a makeup artist, was always rushing between clients, struggling to create bold, perfect looks quickly. Emily, constantly creating for social media, was under pressure to look flawless—fast. We kept asking ourselves, Why does beauty have to be so complicated? Why isn’t there a way to make creative, bold makeup… effortless?

We were tired of the smudges, the hours spent in front of the mirror, and the feeling that you needed pro-level skills just to achieve something striking. So, we decided to do something about it.

From Frustration to BoldInk

That night, over way too much coffee, we dreamed up an idea: What if makeup was as easy as applying a patch? No smudges. No stress. Just bold beauty in seconds.

It sounded crazy at first, but the more we thought about it, the more it made sense. Over the next few months, we went all in—testing designs, collaborating with dermatologists (because safety first), and creating something we’d actually want to use ourselves. By early 2022, BoldInk was born: makeup patches that give you bold, creative looks without the hassle.
